Being Too Direct

When you come at her like a charging bull it is intimidating and seriously, just scary.  She will run away or at least turn away.  You have lost her right off.  Try a more gentle approach.  A straight on approach is a little too dominant for most woman.  Come in from the side for the best approach that won’t freak her out.

Being Lame

If you think a good ice breaker is some lame pick up line then be ready for a lot of rejection.  Most women will laugh you off and you’ve lost your chance.  If you want to be funny then find another way.  Otherwise, just say hello.

Being Pushy

Remember personal space?  Respect it.  I don’t care if you have drank a little too much, don’t be touching her too much.  You should not touch her straight away.  Most women will feel violated by this and want to get away from you fast.

With these things in mind, you should find it a little easier to not scare off every woman you approach.  It can be difficult to drop these habits, but you need to find an appropriate way to approach women that won’t make them run for the hills.  Just remember that women want to feel comfortable.  The minute you take them out of their comfort zone you are playing with trouble.  Follow her lead and let her show you what she is okay with.  That is the best way to make a good approach.

Voice

Voice is part of body language.  The tone of your voice can say a lot.  You probably already know this from times when you have argued.  A raised voice often is associated with loud voices.  Your voice can also project your feelings of negative or positive in a situation.  You need to talk to someone you are interested in with a positive undertone to your voice.  This grabs attention and shows her that you are interested.

Body Position

Are you moving away from her or turning your body away?  If so then you are telling her you are not interested.  Sometimes you may do things out of nervousness, but they come across as dislike to her.  You need to make sure that your body is not saying something that you don’t mean.

Eyes

Make sure that your eyes are not betraying you either.  You have to maintain eye contact and show interest by looking at her and focusing on her.  Make sure your eyes don’t give you away.  Don’t let them dart around the room.  Also make sure that you have a positive mindset or your eyes can reflect that you are uneasy or scared.

Your body can give away your inner thoughts.  Sometimes the body language that you are sending out is not really negative, but it can come across as such.  You just need to be more aware of your body when communicating with women.

By using body language you can tell if a woman is into you right away.  You have to be observant.  You have to watch her and read her.  Learning to recognize body language is not too difficult once you get the hang of it because most women will use the same signs generally to signal her interest.

Playing with Her Hair

When a woman is playing with her hair, even touching it and smoothing it, she is showing she is a bit nervous.  Nervous gestures like this are a good sign that she has seen you and likes what she saw.

Watch Her Hands

When women use their hands in seductive ways it can signal interest.  Touching her face, her ear or caressing her leg can all signal interest.  If she is nervous then she may just fiddle with her hands.

Body Position

Her body position can signal interest, too.  She leans into you or brings her body closer to you are signs she wants to be near you.  If she turns to you with her full body that also signals interest.  Watch her arms, though, as crossed arms mean she is not interested.

Body language can be positive or negative.  You need to be able to tell the difference.  A positive sign can quickly become negative when certain movements are involved.  Such as crossing the arms, no matter the other body language is almost always negative, unless it’s freezing.

Some Common Women Gestures

The following tips outline common body language that you may see on your date.  Take these tips and see how they help you understand the woman in your life a little better.

• Hair movement – A woman who is tossing her hair about is having fun and she is listening to you.

• Finger through hair – Running her fingers through her hair or wiping hair away from her face is a sign she is listening and really focused on you.

• Drawing attention to her lips – Licking her lips or applying lip gloss are signs she wants you to focus on her mouth.  This could mean she wants you to listen to her or maybe even that she would like a kiss.

• Slow leg crossing – Any woman who crosses her legs slowly and deliberately is really into you and attracted to you.

• She touches you – Any touching means she is into you and focused on you.

• Crossed arms – This is a common sign that she is feeling uncomfortable.

Some body language can be hard to read because it may be a nervous gesture.  For instance, darting eyes may make you feel like she is not listening, but it can also show her insecurity and mean she is nervous about meeting your gaze.  You just have to read all body language based on the situation and on the woman.  Women are pretty up front with body language, though, so it is a great indicator about how she feels about you.
