Look Matters and Always Will

First let’s get this out of the way; look matters. The first thing you see about anyone is the person’s look and everyone, including women, make split seconds decision based on what they see in the first few seconds of meeting someone for the first time. Those decisions are entirely based on physical appearance.

What look matters doesn’t mean though is that you have to be George Clooney to impress a girl. Your appearance, and this includes your demeanour as well, reveals far more about you than you are aware. Women look at you and make interpretation based on their experiences, background, culture, education, and more. What this mean for you is that, you have to be aware of what you are communicating with your appearance and make sure it is exactly what you want to project.

Women Are Looking For The Man Who Will Provide And Protect

Women are genetically programmed to look for the strong male, the one who will provide and protect. But the definition of provide and protect varies for each woman. Don’t assume that a strong man needs to have tons of muscles; many women find that threatening and will never feel safe around The Miz (Mike Mizanin). And the best looking guy who can’t provide will only be good as a sex toys.

What you need is do what you have to do to build the confidence that you can provide for your woman of choice. This can go either of two ways; You just decide what you can provide and how much you can protect and find the women that are satisfied with that, or you choose the women you want and work hard to be the kind of man they will feel safe and secure with. Either, girls find a man who believe in himself irresistible.

Blame it on years of repression or anything you want, but women want to rebel a little bit. They crave an existence that is not so boring, that’s a little more challenging, and sometimes surprise them a bit. And you have the ability to provide that, if you would just get over the fact that you don’t want to scare her away.

Women don’t really like bad boys; they know they will hurt them; they know bad boys are not for keep. They would like to find a nice guy who can knock them off their feet from time to time and yet is still decent enough to bring home to dad. Work on your sense of humour, stop worrying so much about what she will think, and start leading her a little more. Be less concerned about getting her approval and start teasing her a bit more. That’s really all it takes to be found attractive and interesting by women.

You may say things because you don’t know what to say or maybe you are just saying whatever pops to your head.  Regardless, there are some things that you say to women that are an instant turn-off.

The following are three things that you should never say to a woman.  These things are a bit offensive and very annoying to women.  It doesn’t matter who the woman is, what she looks like or how well you know her – these three things are things you should never say.

Number One: Any Comment About Weight

It is best to avoid talking about weight at all.  Don’t even try a compliment.  Saying something like ‘you look like you’ve lost weight’ may seem like a nice thing to you, but what she hears is that you think she needed to lose weight or that she was fat before.  It is very easy to get into trouble even with an innocent weight comment, so just avoid the subject.

Number Two: Telling Her She Talks Too Much

Women like to talk. Men don’t like to talk quite so much.  That is how it is.  Despite what you may think, women know we talk too much.  We don’t need you to tell us.  When you say ‘you talk too much’ we get self conscious and we may clam up.  That is a real mood killer.  So, just sit back, listen, and stay quiet.

Number Three: Don’t Be Too Upfront About Intimacy

Never, ever say ‘let’s make out already’.  That will turn her off quick.  She wants to be romanced.  Don’t be pushy.  If you seriously want to make out then take the lead, but keep your comments to yourself.  If you can’t wait a few minutes then maybe you need to get a handle on your hormones.

Men often feel they have to follow rules when it comes to approaching women.  The only real rules are that you have to use common sense.  Too often focusing on these so-called rules will leave you standing alone at the end of the night.

Here are three mistakes that men make all too often when approaching women.  Simply stated – read them and don’t do them.

Mistake #1: Not Taking the Lead

Men think all women want to be in charge and they want their independence.  While this may be true in many aspects, most women still like a man to take the lead when it comes to dating.  So, don’t play a fool and refuse to make any decisions.  Take control and show her a good time.

Mistake #2: Thinking You Are Not Good Enough

Confidence is key.  I said it already.  If you start out by thinking a woman is too beautiful or too good for you then you will appear weak and unconfident.  Have faith in yourself.  You don’t have to have the body like David Beckham to get a girl.  Just go for it.

Mistake #3: Wasting Your Time

If you can tell a woman is not interested then go elsewhere.  Don’t spend all night trying to get the attention of a woman who is just not feeling you.  Many men make this mistake. They see a girl they think is hot and they focus on her all night, but she is not interested, so they end up going home alone.  Try your hand at someone who is really interested and you may end up meeting someone great.

There are some Halloween costumes that just aren’t the perfect choice when you are trying to get a date on Halloween.  Here are five costumes that you should avoid:

1. A Penis. This should be obvious, but if it isn’t then just take my word for it.  Women will stay far away from the 6 foot tall penis.  Bigger is not always better.

2. Any costume that shows a lot of skin if you do not look like Brad Pitt.  Seriously, you really do not need to flaunt what you ain’t got.  It may seem funny, but honestly it is too much information.

3. A suicide bomber. I know it has been a while since 9/11, but this is still not cool.  For those of you wondering – it will never be cool.

4. Any costume involving a fellatio. You have seen them – the breathalyzer costume where the part to put your mouth is precariously situated.  Just don’t do it.  Women really don’t find it funny.  They may laugh, but just because they can’t believe how big of a jerk you are.

5. The guy and the sheep costume. If you haven’t seen it then Google it because you do not want to show up anywhere in this tasteless costume.

The whole point here is that you don’t want to wear a costume that is offensive or just plain nasty.  Take some time to think about what a woman would think if she saw your costume.  Your “boys” may laugh, but will she?  If not, choose a new costume.

Get The Right Attitude And A Smile

Make sure you have the right attitude to begin with.  Don’t be all aggressive.  Hollywood may have taught you that women like that aggressiveness, but that really is not true.  Most women prefer to have a guy approach them in a non-threatening manner.  If you are calm and laid back then you will have a better chance of not having her run away.

Put a smile on your face.  A smile is inviting and it puts her at ease.  Just smile casually and you will probably get a smile in return.  If she flashes an open smile to you then you have gotten the green light to go talk to her.

Maintain Eye Contact And Take It Slow

Maintain eye contact, too.  Eye contact draws people in and shows you are interested.  If you maintain eye contact and she doesn’t look away then this is another clue that she will be willing to talk to you.  Once she breaks eye contact you can go over to her.

Once you do actually approach her, be sure to not come at her all at once.  Just move at a normal pace.  Keep smiling and just say hello.  Do not use some wacky pick up line.  Just be real.  A good starter is to ask her opinion on something.  Also make sure that you do not plant yourself there all night.  Women don’t want to be tied to someone all evening.  When the conversation naturally ends then make your way out.  If things went good then exchange numbers.
