Sign #1: Was he seeing other women when you got together?  While you may like that he gave them up for you, it could just be a sign he is going through a phase where he thinks he wants to settle down.  Soon, though, he will likely want to play the field again.  He will crave that excitement and that is when he will cheat.

Sign #2: Has he ever told you about a friend that is cheating or do you think he would?  Guys that cheat pretty much never tell on other cheaters.  This is a good sign to watch for.

Sign #3: What does he consider cheating?  This is very important.  If he cannot draw a very distinct line between what is cheating and what is not or if you do not agree on what constitutes cheating then watch out.

The reality is that you just never know if someone will cheat or not.  These signs are good indicators, though, because they will let you see what is in his mind and give you an idea of how he feels about cheating.  A guy who doesn’t think cheating is a big deal is someone who will cheat on you in the future.

Is revenge the right thing to do?  There are many reasons why you might want to seek revenge, but at the same time, there are some things you might want to consider about getting revenge.  Revenge is not always as sweet as you may believe it to be.

Points to Consider

Revenge may seem like the only way to clear your heart and mind of all the pent up frustration and rage that was caused by his infidelity.  You may not see any other reasonable option.  For some women, revenge is a simple way to sidestep other emotions, i.e. hurt, that they don’t want to feel.  Focusing on getting him back leaves no room to focus on what really happened.

Using revenge to avoid facing your emotions is not a good idea.  You will eventually have to face those emotions so that you can move on.  If you do not face your emotions then they will haunt you in future relationships.  You don’t want your cheating ex to have that power – to manipulate your love life.

Some other things to think about is that getting revenge is really a waste of time.  All you are doing is focusing your time and attention on a guy who doesn’t deserve it.  Also, you are likely to hurt others in the process of exacting your revenge since many times revenge means using someone else to make your ex jealous.

Getting revenge is usually not a good idea.  However, if you are committed to getting revenge on this cheater, do so with some dignity.

What To Avoid

As mentioned, getting revenge by using someone to make him jealous is not fair.  You are actually being pretty mean yourself and hurting someone else, an innocent third party, in the process.  So, don’t make your revenge about making him jealous.  Chances are he won’t even care anyway.

Avoid the temptation to do something that could end you up in legal trouble.  Trust me, no man is worth going to jail over.  A criminal conviction, even something minor, will haunt you and could possibly cause trouble for you in other aspects of your life.  Don’t give into the urge to smash his car windows or slash his tires.

Revenge may seem like a wonderful idea in the heat of the moment, but most of the time looking back, it just makes you feel foolish.  The best revenge is moving on with your life and showing him you never needed him to be happy and that you can do just fine without him.  Knowing that you have shown him that he meant nothing to you is rally the sweetest revenge of all.

Do You Really Want To Find Out?

There are many tell tale signs that a guy is cheating.  Some are very obvious and some are not so obvious.  One of the biggest reasons why cheating men are not found out early on is not because the signs weren’t there or because their girlfriend didn’t see the signs, but because she didn’t want to see the signs for what they were.

Denial is the biggest roadblock in discovering a cheating boyfriend.  You have to just be objective, as hard as that is.  If you start seeing signs then do not feel bad about it.  You are doing nothing wrong.  Start to ask questions.  If he isn’t doing anything wrong then he should be able to explain his behavior in a rational manner.
