When you first meet a woman, you may be at a loss for what to say. We know that men are not the greatest conversationalists. However, women like to talk, so you are going to have to learn to communicate with us. Within the first five minutes of a conversation, we will begin to access you. If the conversation goes nowhere then chances are we will lose interest. We want to be able to know that we will have things to talk about and that you can do your part to keep the conversation going.
Here are three questions that you can ask within the first five minutes of a conversation to help set a good tone for the whole conversation. These things will also allow you to get to know a lot about her so you will have ways to relate to her and build upon if you are interested in taking things further into a relationship.
Question #1: Ask about family.
Ask her if she has brothers or sisters. Once she answers ask more about her family. You are trying to find something you can relate to. Maybe she has a brother who plays football and you play football. You have found a connection.
Question #2: Ask about what she does for a living.
Not only will this give you insight into her life, but you will learn about her education. You will find out if she is passionate about her career. You will also learn something important about her – whether she is self-sufficient.
Question #3: Ask what her favorite movie is.
It may seem simple, but ask about her favorite movie. This will speak volumes about her. It will tell you about her personality and give you a little glimpse into who she is. It is a simple question that actually gives you a lot of information.
These three questions are great ice breakers. All can lead to more questions and great conversation. Keep them in mind the next time you strike up a conversation with a woman.
