Your crystal ball is cracked and your psychic is on vacation, so how can you find out if your new girlfriend will cheat on you?  Nobody wants to be cheated on.  Nobody wants to get in a relationship with someone who is bound to cheat on them.  Figuring out if your new girl will cheat, though, is not an exact science.  You may not be psychic, but there are some things you can look for that will point you to the answer.

Once A Cheater …

The most obvious thing that points to a cheater is that they have cheated before.  I don’t care if she says she was only 16 and she didn’t know what she wanted and that’s why she did it.  I don’t care what kind of sob story she feeds you.  Once someone has cheated they have proven they are capable of doing it.  Anyone capable of cheating probably will do it in the future.

Look at who she hangs out with, too.  Do her friends cheat?  If she hangs out with cheaters and actually values these people as friends then that just shows she probably doesn’t think cheating is all that bad.  At the very least it shows she feels cheating is justified in some cases.

Commitment Requires Character

Consider her general personality and character.  Does she have problems with willpower?  Can she not commit to anything?  A lack of willpower is dangerous.  What would she do if approached by another guy to whom she was attracted?  Would she be able to say no?  If her willpower is weak then watch out.

There is no way to know for sure if a girl will cheat.  Some people are just cheaters by nature.  For others cheating happens when they don’t feel a strong bond with their partner or when they are too afraid to just end things the right way.  The best way to avoid being cheated on is to keep the lines of communication open between you and your girlfriend, so if problems do occur then you can work them out without her resorting to cheating.
