You have probably heard women say that all they want is a nice guy.  So, you have tried to be that nice guy.  You have been sweet, kind, well mannered and attentive.  Has it worked?  Probably not.

I know it makes no sense.  The reason it makes no sense is that men and women think differently.  A woman’s idea of a nice guy is different than a man’s idea of a nice guy.  That is why you have been failing in your attempts to be a nice guy.

You’ll Hear It Again and Again

You will always hear women say that they want a nice guy.  They post this to their online profiles and it is the usually answer when they are asked what they look for in a man.  However, give them a nice guy and they turn him away, saying there was no attraction there.

You see them out the next night with a typical bad boy.  He smokes, drinks and every other word out of his mouth is a curse word, but she is in awe of him.  She hangs on his every words and cannot take her eyes off of him.

No wonder men are confused.  What the heck do women really want?  What is her definition of a nice guy?  This is the key to figuring out once and for what a women means when she says she wants a nice guy and the key to helping you be that nice guy.

What’s a Nice Guy?

To men a nice guy is sweet, respectful and well mannered.  He showers her with compliments and buys her gifts for no reason.  Furthermore, men believe that a nice guy is someone who is meek, submissive and let’s her make all the decisions.  A nice guy lives for her and everything in his life revolves around her.

A woman’s idea of a nice guy is none of those things.  A woman defines a nice guy as someone who makes them feel good.  A nice guy doesn’t have issues that cloud the relationship or act in negative ways.

Furthermore, a nice guy, from a woman’s point of view, is strong and masculine.  He knows who he is and is confident in himself.  A nice guy knows when to be bad and flirty.  He may have a naughty side, but he doesn’t step over boundaries by lying or cheating.

How to Be a Nice Guy

Being a nice guy is about just being you.  If you are a kind person, respectful, yet know how to have fun and can be bad sometimes then you are already a nice guy.  There is no need to play a part.  Don’t try to be what you think a nice guy is.  Instead, just treat her right.  Be yourself.  Know what is appropriate and how to handle yourself in social situations.  Don’t take advantage of her.  Don’t abuse her in any way.  Treat her like she is really important to you.  These are the things that make up the type of nice guy that a woman is looking for.
